Do TVs do bluetooth ? We have a Flip which is great. Current TV wont link of course but its great for music. We can play a DVD from the dashboard Player as its linked to the TV and the sound is of course much better, BUT tge front soeakers are between the windscreen and interior solid blind . Doh. And as we are usually away in winter, tge blimd is always down of an evening when watching TV.
Thanks for all your help. We have been wanting a new TV for a while as the current one is seriously shit . The massive shop in Augsburg should have so ething that fits the bill.

My big Samsung at home dies Bluetooth, but I really don't know about the small 12v TVs.
There seem to be two trains of thought on this - Jim's, where you select a cheaper model (why waste money?) and mine, where I bought one designed from the outset for mobile TV. You pays yer money...
Shopping in Augsburg is gonna be fun!

Money *cough* isnt really an issue. Quality of picture, number of sockets/inputs and wattage are the main thing. And that it fits in the hole.
There you are. Now we can go right off topic back to where fruitcakes belong 🙂

Except that we now have new member Topmast asking silly, sensible questions now... Why, oh why, did we answer you sensibly, Sal?? I dunno. A mad moment. If this starts a trend, as Chief Knobhead I shall be very cross and maybe even flounce... Be afraid... An' I hope Toptwat drops the idea that this is a sensible forum where sensible questions can be asked. Twat!

Its actually a lot easier to ask here though . I am almost ashamed to say that I know you all well enough to respect your opinions ! When you ask questions elsewhere you get loads of twatty replies , lots of sarcasm as to why you could possibly want a new TV cos surely I know that might cost money and haven’t I thought about making one in my garage . Then someone will helpfully point out that I am a girl and should therefore be treated like a prize plonker . Happens every time .
I would rather have the piss taken here thanks 🙂

No. All my dash accessory electrics are now wired to the habitation batteries - two 130ah batts. The only things wired to the engine battery are the fitted cab lights and I almost never use them, deliberately. Likewise. I can run my telly sound (wirelessly obviously because I'm dead clever) through the excellent sound system in the van, but only if I want the people in the next village to hear it too. It's useful though when you have neighbours who like to share their crappy music with you. I can give it a blast of Start Me Up or the like to drown them out. They tend to get the message.

Its an all in one arrangement we have and when I find time to put videos onto a USB, How to connect to the blue tooth, how to, how to, how to, we might possible use it for other than DVD and MP3 music. Hans fitted better speakers last year, so progress is being made.

At least you won't get the standard Harry Enfield reply. "You don't wanna do that'" unless of course it is actually the right answer.

That first one should work. Looks like it has either a 3.5mm jack plug or RCA plug so as long as the tv has one of those outputs (headphone socket) it should work. Good find. Plugging stuff into the USB port means more power usage though but its not much. Well our usb speakers dont use much. Adds two watts.
