I don't think you'd catch our Madge near a terrace, apparently she is from the posh end of motorhoming

Can't seem to annoy anyone on there. Off to bed to think of fishy puns for tomorrow.

I think it was a bad idea. We are way out of our depth! They don't need us to cause havoc anyway. It just goes on and on and on! A valiant effort chaps but I fear in reality we are all just too nice to be Trolls!

I've met the type. Posh indeed.

I've met the type. Posh indeed. I totally agree but in the words of Jimmy Cricket "there's more".
Some of them start a thread announcing that they have ordered a brand new motorhome and list the model, the engine size and all of the extras on top of the basic van. They bore the pants of most members while their acolytes say how pleased they are for them.
Just before they pick up the new van, they do it all again.
They pick it up and start a new thread, usually entitled "we got it" and it all starts up again. You check the details next to their avatar and it is written 2014 Autosleeper Wanker 847 ES, 2.3 (130BHP) + full option pack and Alloys.
Now for the best bit. After a few weeks they start another thread about how the water pours in through the roof, the toilet fell apart and the expensive media system option they ordered has never worked. Their bosom buddies all pile in with hand wringing emotions about how sorry they are to hear that (oh yeah?). To cap it all, the Dealer does not want to know and as he is 3,000 miles away, it will be expensive to go back and forth to get this lemon fixed.
I never read the first threads but always read the last one.
ps, a thread on OAL about another "good idea" took my fancy and I did a little troll on the OP because that member fits the category listed above.

ps, a thread on OAL about another "good idea" took my fancy and I did a little troll on the OP because that member fits the category listed above. Went looking for your post but my eye was caught by this thread title and I couldn't help bursting out laughing: " changing the ringpiece on a toilet". ADDENDUM: And I've just discovered this gem of a comment in another thread over there: " It should be a rule that make of van should be included in your profile to appear on the left hand site of every post. " So now I'm going to add mine: Frankia Platinum Edition on a Mercedes Sprinter, Cost £135,181 + too many extras at additional cost to mention here.

I like the French attitude to showing off where advertising ones wealth is considered vulgar. I also like the way they make and mend as well. New stuff these days is just made broken anyway. I was thinking of trading in my 1999 golf diesel the other week and then thought. What's the point? Nowt wrong with it and they go for decades. Same with the van I suppose but its got a flat battery so may have to get a brand new knaus cockjob or whatever they are called.

Actually, I trade mine in for new every time they need a wash and polish as I can't stand running around in a dirty 'van.

Having been inspired by Liam's post a back few have I have just posted saying we are 10m long plus a trailer and car etc. etc. and that the pitches are too small and that those beside us don't own the sun and so on. If that doesn't get a rise I give up.
I could maybe go on the Frankia thread and tell them their van is too small and over priced? Alan.
