Right. you know I said we had 2 x 165amp batteries and a BtoB ? well we dont. We planned to though. then I made him measure the battery cupboard before ordering another battery etc and discovered that the existing battery is only 95 amp !Very odd as I remember buying it at great cost in Germany when the other one blew up. ( remember the dog freezer in the garage ??) so. Is there a battery expert about ? we can only fit 1 battery in the cupboard. Would like to put the other one in the garage. Would be 230 amp ( as was the original ) both. cable to garage already exists ( see previous dog freezer ) . But we dont know about the size of the cable or much else tbh. so whos gonna know what to do ? merci !

Ignore the above.
I have told him to forget 2 batteries. The cables required would render the whole thing useless.
So we will just get one new 230 amp like we had before which used to last for ages.
He will still need to fit the BtoB though.

The B2b ain't straightforward, Sal. It requires a temperature gauge on the circuit to avoid overheating and tapping off the alternator. Get a professional to do it? Also, if you do fit two batteries, the cable run between them should be as short as possible and the two batteries of similar/identical spec and age, too, if poss. Good luck.

He has spoken with the Stirling people and none of that was mentioned. The BtoB sits between the starter and leisure batteries ...no connection with alternator required . I thought that was the point ? 2 batteries idea has been kicked out ( by me ) due to cable length.
