Just joined this forum and noticed your thread. I'm British and live in Poland and have done for a little while. You can get one tax free import if you say you are relocating to Poland from another EU country. I registered my Lexus here last year and went through a registration service in Poznan who dealt with the customs side of things. (Saved close to 10k pln in import tax by doing it this way) Now in the process of registering the motorhome and as it's over 2.0 it will be liable for the 18.6% import duty. I'm now wondering if I can simply import it as a 1993 Fiat Ducato with a value of around 3000 pln.... Downside is that insurance on motorhomes here seems to be very high indeed! If you want a more detailed response on the registration process I'm happy to write down everything I know about it. Welcome to the forum cdb, can we call you something other than cdb, I could give you a name, I'm good at that We live between Inowroclaw and Bydgoszcz pretty much in the middle of nowhere after many years in Poznan. We have 93 Hymer camp (My dad gave it to us a few years ago) Seem to spend more time fixing things on it than actually going anywhere. (Nearly done though) It did make me wonder if there was a way around this import duty as many of the vehicles for sale on the market here are cheaper than the equivalent vehicle over the border. The relocating to Poland way does work however in theory you can only use it once. (Whether or not the Urzad Celny system is connected and you can use it more than once is another thing) Its definitely worth paying one of these companies the 500pln to avoid having to deal with the local office idiots though. Whereabouts are you based?
