After many years of Research it has been proven by a relentless Fruitcake Motorhome Owner that the following items can give you a Perfect Shining Glowing Clean Motorhome that may at one stage have only been in your Dreams.
Take water, a soft bristled brush, a sponge, a ladder and a dose of Elbow Grease.
Water flowing through a hose - a water tap at one end of the hose and a soft bristle brush attached to the other end - will allow you to clean your Motorhome to a sparkling finish which will be the envy of other Motorhome Owners and possibly even your neighbours.
With the help of climbing a ladder, or for the richer people a scaffold to stand on, you can even clean the Roof.
The Roof may be the home of devices to allow you to watch Television, panels that source sunshine for your electrics, windows to allow extra light inside your Motorhome or even lift to give ventilation on those warmer days but they rarely deter the cleaning ability of the ambitious Motorhome Owner
Just move the brush and the water flowing from it backwards, forwards, sideways and adding the Elbow Grease in ever increasing quantities you will be surprised how easy the task of cleaning becomes.
The sponge may need a fair amount of Elbow Grease to remove more stubborn stains but although this can be time consuming it would usually not interfere with the time you spend sleeping in the afternoon – consult your carer about this before starting to clean.
With a combination of water, the brush and a healthy dose of Elbow Grease the dirt and streaks will simply vanish leaving a pristine clean roof - and the sides, the front and rear aspects of your Motorhome.
Please do not use Chemical products to give the illusion of grandeur when a more environmental friendly result can be achieved.
Those who scoff at this simple solution may wish to turn their eyes towards the picture below of my Motorhome that was cleaned today using the aforementioned method.
It is so clean the camera has difficulty discerning the outline of the vehicle.
I hope this helps.

Yes its very clean, so clean you cant see it!!
However your method will not work with my van. Well not its roof anyhow. I have since decided that at some point, 747 climbed up there in the night and painted the fucker camouflage moss green in irremovable special gnome magic green paint. Nothing, not even a blow torch would get the fecker off.

Oh you off little faith bazza, have you sprayed your roof with Patio Magic as I suggested, it takes some patience to leave it for a few weeks to let it work. If you want instant results get up there with a bleach spray and a scrubbing brush, down on your knees and spend a couple of hours of hard work, no I did not think that you like hard work so just be patient. By the way Hows your gout?

Some say you should see a difference in 4/5 days but I cant see any. will report back every month but if it changes ill eat one of my guitars. Gout has been an absolute Bastud! Ive not been able to move for nearly three days now apart from crawling to the bathroom this morning to at least attempt to try and make myself less minging. I think it might finally be shifting though. Im may even get downstairs tonight if i can remember where it is.

Thats all very well Keef, but I don't like heights, my cleaner is nearly 80 and no way am I going to let him get up there on a ladder, trestles or my shoulders. 170€ to have it cleaned was worth it and when it got dirty a week later I cleaned it with a bowl of water and a long handles window washer thingy with a furry pad and a wipe with a towel to the places I could reach and it looks good again. Baz needs a scraper. Have you tried sugar soap Barry? Keefs roof www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHpt92MQ-9E

Surely it's not beyond the wit of a local engineer or fabricator to knock one of these up for a few quid and save yourselves the hassle of bringing on the vertigo.
And you could invite friends (or a least Motorhome owners in the area) to use the device and get a steady income.
If we had enough space at our house to keep one I would have built one years ago.
This one is behind SuperU at Cancale - where the MH parking area is.

A truck wash near us? I dont think they even have electricity in upper Teesdale, they had a 40s weekend in Barnard Castle last weekend I gather but nobody noticed as nobody told them the war was over. Not the best of areas for such services. Told yer. I took it to the local dealers at Catterick two years ago and they made it a bit better but couldnt get it all off. The spots of lichen / moss or whatever they are are spot welded on. The only way anyone would get them off is with a fecking chisel or acid or summat. The guys at catterick dont go on the roof and have something similar to that picture above but this requires someone to get up there for an entire day I would imagine with a welding torch and some kind of nuclear cleaning product. Thats why I jumped at the chance of the Wet or Forget / Patio MAgic stuff as its just supposed to do it on its own. Maybe for any other van but not this one I bet.

I may even get downstairs tonight if I can remember where it is. Blimey Puke - I was not aware that gout affected the memory. It must be a sad (nay - frustrating) life if you can't remember where it is or even they are. Get a grip - if you can remember what to grip!

Although I have used sugar soap when decorating, I've not used it on metallic surfaces or vehicles, fearing it's corrosive effects. My favourite has been Swarfega to clean all sorts of stuff - oil stained shirts, oily hands, grimy floors... Not easy to buy the original Swarfega, I believe? Probably gone the same way as creosote, Dum-Dum car joint sealant, Cutlass hedge growth restrictor and other chemical stuff... Life was so much easier in the 60s, with only the odd cancer or eczema to deal with !!

That was why I said do a tiny bit to try Trig, I would think if you rinsed it orf really well and then polished it would be Ok, only thinking out loud though.
Caustic soda might do the trick.😂
