Nice one, Jim, even though I have a Garmin with free lifetime maps and traffic (and the free Maps.Me with full European Maps & Routing, which are also free.) Thanks for the info Liam.
Now I feel really stupid now that I know that I have wasted £6.95 when I could have bought a Garmin for £100 or so and got free maps.
Hey ho, that's life.

Nice one Gnome. I see you can get the Start 20 full europe now on ebay (new) for £70. Its a good sat nav and its with life time map updates. I wonder if TomTom are trying to recover from the fact that they buggered up with a lot of their models by for some odd reason taking away the ability to load POI. This model you still can. I had one and it was a good unit until Michelle drowned it. Can you put waypoints into that one Barry and does it have more scope for the journey. My TT One only has 2 choices, fastest route and shortest route. Both seem to take you down farm tracks and inappropriate roads. I think so. IF you mean can you put 3 or 4 stops on a route like an itinerary then I am fairly sure you can. Not that I bother as thats way to much planning for me as I only do about 3 miles a day if I can be arsed to move at all. It still takes you down goat tracks though. I thought they all did that and it was part of the fun.

Excuse me, Mr Gnome, but please point out where I said that YOU should buy a Garmin? What I DID say was to thank you for the information about cheap TomTom Maps, even though I didn't use a TomTom, I was demonstration my appreciation to you for posting what is useful information for Fruitcakes who do use a TomTom. Now climb back onto your toadstool and shut up, you ungrateful wretch!
