I have the local rep of Motorhome Depot here currently taking pictures of my van to put on their website. The price I have been offered is around the same as I would have wanted in a private sale ..... but now I will not have thee hassle. Let's just hope he is as good as his word. He seems a nice guy but he is a salesman after all.

Good luck with that, Jim. One thing I've learned is that, as we get older, "less hassle" is worth it's weight in gold. There was a time when I wouldn't have dreamt of selling to a dealer - I wanted some of his profit too! But now... less hassle, and sit in the garden drinking beer instead!

Make it 22 and you have a deal.
Actually Joe the prices of motorhomes are ridiculous now, after owning it for 7 years I cannot believe how much it might go for. If Baz is correct (it will be the first time ) and the prices slump next year I might do alright. That will be a novelty for me.

I owned my Exsis for nine years and sold it last year for £3,000 MORE than I paid for it!! Unbelievable market situation.

Good luck with the sale. Maybe this guy will be alright but I positively avoid even contacting any that are up for sale with Motorhome Depot now. Absolute wankers the ones I have dealt with. What I might suggest if I could be so bold is that you provide him with a full list of all the specifics, especially payload! The ones I dealt with knew absolutely fuck all and that was when you could get hold of them.
Yes the current market is very buoyant but of course as said its only good news if you are packing in or banking on prices dropping and buying next year. Who the feck knows. I have seen a fair few hire vans and a fair few obvious newbies on this trip.

After 7 years Motorhome Depot are putting ours up at only £500 less than what I paid for it at a local Dealer. No doubt they will build in a bit of flexibility on price but if it goes for the ticket price I will be better off than what I would have asked selling it privately. Their commission is a fixed sum, so a drop would not affect my bit unless it was a big one.
The chap who came to see it and look over the van knew a fair bit about motorhomes, so he may have workeed for motorhome dealers in the past.

How is the market for Hobbitmobiles these days? It's a very small market.
