Maybe you could get a dinghy and take the chair out on the loch and find the monster. If the monster finds Tuggers it will probably die of shock.

Bloody Fartinabucket is not playing again this morning, it must be that I am surrounded by trees and water and grass and stuff! I'll try and get some more pics of my chair in due course. I'll also try and get some tits for Pusser. I'd show him mine, but there ain't enough brain bleach in the country to cope with that. Can we have a close-up of the red mug please?

No you bloody can't, it's my red mug and I'm not sharing it with a pervert like you!

All is not well here is Tugboat Towers (mobile edition). I burned my mouth on the stew I made for tea, so drinking my morning cuppas is not the pleasure it should be. It's blowing a bastard here this morning and the van is rocking all over the place. Trying to keep the bike safe from being blown over is stretching my ingenuity. I've been told I have to change pitch this morning, methinks there will need to be considerable allowance made for leeway while in transit. The wind is from the South, so if I get it wrong I could end in Greenland! I forgot to take my pills yesterday (Twat!) and couldn't sleep last night until I twigged at 3 o'clock this morning and took a fistful of painkillers. Sharpest tack in the tin, I is not!

Heehee, that went well!
I was in the process of getting my leg over (as you do) the sidestand sunk into the grass and we all fell over. Oh, how we laughed.
A 20degree lean angle into the wind seemed to work OK for the transit and my cap even stayed on. Result.
Then while I was hooking up on the new pitch, Ellie decided to step on the horn. Oh joy.
Still, we're here now.
I have to decide what to do about going to those other islands. Better ring up and find out about ferries. Those chaps do like to have a day off if they can blame it on the weather!
And the bike is tethered to the screw in doggy lead thingy so hopefully it will stay put.

I hope you are head to wind now Tuggers. If they get winds like that they should have swinging pitches, although some people reading the brochure could get the wrong idea - the smutty bastards!

The wind is on the quarter, Geoff, but elevator and ailerons are correctly deployed for the conditions. You know what I mean, though the rest of the rabble on here won't. Bollox, it's just started pissing down again!

OK, because I'm feeling sorry for all you lot stuck at home trying to find summat interesting to watch on telly, I'm gonna post some photos of our travels. I'm not going to do a blog or travelogue on Facts, just gonna show a few mates a few pics. OK? Here was my first ever wildcamp, near Bamburgh Castle, and the views out of the windows, Magic. Second wildcamp was at a picnic site near Whiteadder reservoir in the Lammermuir Hills. I waqs parked right next to a burn with lots of birdlife. From there I went to the C&CC site at Dunbar, as I was in urgent need of a laundry. Here's the harbour at Dunbar, a most appealing spot, though the main street in town could be used for one of those western movies, it just needed tumbleweed. Ellie and I walked a long way into town which pretty much knackered both of us. When it was time to return, there were no taxis and I was looking for the Information office to get bus info. A very kind young delivery driver ran us back most of the way, which saved someone having to use a defibrillator on my feet. There was this wierd folly thing in the middle of the site, now in ruins and occupied by rabbits and pigeons. In fact the whole site seems to be on top of a huge warren, there are rabbits everywhere. The potential for twisted ankles is not to be underestimated. Presumably that folly will eventually collapse when the rabbits finish undermining it. The death toll will be huge, hopefully. Next stop was Loch Lomond. Here is the other pic of the chair! and a pic of the inside of my red mug, especially for James! From Loch Lomond, we drove through the spectacular Glen Coe and down to Fort William. It really is amazing scenery and thankfully the traffic was light so I could take the occasional photo while driving. Naughty boy that I am! The site at \fort William was right below Ben Nevis. I think it's one of those pimples in the background! FW led me off along 'the road to the Isles' to Mallaig, where we got the ferry over to Skye. First sighting of the island. There's a boot comin' in Ellie was more interested in the smell of someone's sarnies I think! and took the ferry ride in her stride More pics in next post.

A few more piccies Here we are approaching Armadale Gentlemen, start your engines At Mallaig, there was a sign by the ramp that said vehicle alarms should be disabled. So I just locked the van and we went up top. Came down, opened the drivers door and all hell let loose. I felt a right dickhead. The button on the fob must have got pressed in my pocket, it does seem to have a long range. My first wild camp spot on Skye, looking over to Mallaig, not bad eh? The view from the breakfast table Not sure what's going on here, maybe to do with tree planting. There is a lot of clearing of whole stands of timber on the island at the moment. Here are a few random shots to show the landscape, some of which were taken on the move A lot of the shoreline areas are well choked with litter blown in on storms. Wonder if they ever do a clean-up. Looks typical fishing boat rubbish I was struggling to find places to take Ellie for walks as there are sheep everywhere and I was cautious about going off-piste. I know thew laws about right to roam are different in Scotland but didn't want to chance my luck. Ususlly I wait until someone else comes along who seems confident in striding off and I stalk them. Here's Ellie having a bit of freedom, bouncing up and down through the long grass. Another wildcamp site, with Raasay in the background, and Scalpay out of shot stage right. That brings us more or less up to date, folks. I'm now chilling at the C&CC site by Greshornish and I'm booked on the ferry to Tarbert on Monday afternoon. If the bloody rain would stop for a while, I want to go and have a scream around on the bike on these fantastic roads. At the moment, it's just sitting outside looking wet and sad.

Flipping brilliant Tuggers! Superb photos and it reminded me just how wonderful Scotland can be. Hate to tell you this but you can actually drive onto Skye these days! Why are you getting a ferry to Tarbert? Is it the Tarbert on Kintyre? If so you can get the little ferry across to the Isle of Arran at Claonaig just a few miles south of Tarbert. Wilding heaven there. Have fun and I look forward to more photos.

Argh, fuck, I just typed out a long reply and this fucking Wifi shite system had shut me down and my post is lost.
Well, fuck it, I can't be arsed to do it all over again, so I'll just say I'm going to Harris tomorrow so expect pics of us all being sandblasted to hell if the wind doesn't abate.
Bollox to Highland Wifi!
