If you like camping-carinfos but think the site is abit clunky to use, then you could try my site. www.searchforsites.co.uk or the mobile version www.searchforsites.co.uk/webapp.phpThose of you from MHF may recall I was banned from there by the previous admin (a bit hyprocritical but thats another matter) Hi there and welcome. As discussed I am quite happy for you to show people the site on here although I cannot guarantee that Seannachie wont send you a bill for bug testing (of which I will expect a cut of course) I genuinely welcome the testing! - there are a few bugs that I am aware of. I would also welcome any suggestions for new or enhanced functionality. I should make it clear this is a hobby site and has no commercial interests and it is me alone doing the development (well me and Mr Google!)

It works with IE8, which is a pity as I rarely use that browser (which is why I've never bothered to upgrade it to the latest version). Obviously one of my Firefox or Chrome addons is blocking parts of your site for some reason. Still, it looks a useful site and I wish you well with it - I also think that the action by MHF was just a little extreme, to put it mildly, but the owner can do what they want on their own site and there's nothing much visitors can do, except vote with their feet.
Good luck, anyway, and thanks for a useful resource.

I have tested in both those browsers ( and IE and safari) and not experienced any problems. Have you disabled javascript? Yes, I've got AdBlock Plus and NoScript installed on both Firefox and Chrome but not on IE8, which is obviously why it won't work on the first two. I've also got PeerBlock, which I've got to disable to get your site to work on IE8. By the way, one test I also do re sites or books which list aires is to look at La Ferte St Aubin in France. You have details of an aire there - see screenshot #1 attached, but it is completely wrong. The place that refers to is the little parking place at the road entrance with no services on the bank of the river but go past there and past the restaurant on the right to near the to the fork near the end - see screenshot #2 - and there is a large aire with services which I regularly use as my first overnight to and from Calais. This is an excellent and safe stop - with a good boulangerie just round the corner in the main road - but is missed out of most books, including the much vaunted 'All The Aires 4th Edition' by whom Barry calls 'Vicious Books'. I've posted this info here rather than on your site so that the guys here can find this very nice aire - it's co-ordinates are: 47.72531, 1.93507. Note: I've never told anyone else of this aire, so think yourselves fortunate I'm sharing it here. Screenshot 1: Attachment DeletedScreenshot 2: Attachment DeletedADDENDUM: The aire is FREE but the water is €1, if I remember correctly. I don't recollect whether there's any electricity, but think not.

No, the aire is completely free and provided by the Mairie (at least that's what I was told when I popped in there when I first discovered the place years ago), and I've used it for over 10 years on a regular basis - as have many others - and never ever approached for any payment just for parking or overnighting. There is a small charge for 100L or 10 mins of water, which I have used, but never bothered with electricity as my batteries are always in good condition by the time I arrive there, though I do have a vague memory of seeing en electric connection box though I couldn't swear to the fact. There are municipal recycling bins at the top end (where the little road goes back into the town) and locals regularly use them.
Anyway, no-one should one pay for parking there as there is parking all down that road under the trees on the left which is is unrestricted and free.
