I have a little problem (well Liz says it is ) It a bit of a design fault by yours truly not thinking ahead. Due to the van being a bit long in the tooth, and me being skint the back doors are a bit draughty, so I'm putting up curtains, but I don't have any real room to fit a track/tracks onto the vans structural roof support over the doors. My problem is I put some DVD storage right up to the doors and I really do not want to take them down and remake them, and I don't have any ply left to do it anyway, so I need to work around it somehow. Any ideas, sensible ones that is, which might actually work. On a similar tack, I noticed that the X250 cab doors have the louvred vents on the trailing edge, is it still beneficial to put some duct tape over them.

Could you fit additional seals Kev? Maybe a wide rubber strip on the door which closes first and a smaller hollow one on the other door to close against it. Have you seen this site: www.sealsdirect.co.ukI have some reservations about putting technical information on here because I think it might be better to keep it all on one site for ease of finding. MHF may turn out to have problems but it is still a great resource and I wouldn't want to dilute that, Alan.

Either that or we need to recruit more technical people and less nutters.

I knew that Kev would be trouble! Why doesn't he look for a motorhome forum instead?

I looked at seals, but the ones I have fill the available space, I may have come up with a solution, as for doing tech on here, it seems to be OK, as someone set up a forum for it.
OI 747 it says Motorhome Fruitcakes over the door, so I'll do the Motorhome bit here too if it's alright with you

Elephant seals would fill the space and I dare say Sea Lions would as well. Why do you feel the need to carry Marine Mammals in your camper? Is it a Yorkshire thing?

He doesn't need twat lessons, he's head boy at twat school. I believe that in public schools - you know, the kind our esteemed political leaders all seem to go to - the 'head boy' refers to the boy who gives head. At Eton, I believe they call them 'fags' which is wot we comprehensive yobs called ciggies, but then we never had no class.

Was it never explained to you that there is an important difference between an 'approved school' and a 'public school'?

Oh Dear, the mad scientist just fell out of bed (sigh). It's nothing to do with 'approved'. It's the difference between 'private school' and 'public school'. It's called 'public school' but it was actually 'private' education for fee-paying toffs like me rather than the proles like you. Acksherly, the truth of the matter was that my father was a schoolmaster there and wanted me to attend his school. I hated it and would much rather have gone to the local Grammar School. I was academically crap at school, it was only when I went to sea that everything came good for me and I found it easy to learn stuff that was relevant to that career. So it would appear the brain power had been there after all, just dormant. Now? Oh dear, not much brain left I'm afraid. I feel I'm well qualified to be a Fruitcake.

The failure to make the subjects taught relevant to a pupil's hoped for career or at least interesting per se is probably a major reason why many pupils are not engaged by the schooling experience and fail to reach their full potential, IMHO. Glad to hear you sorted yourself out, however. And that's probably my last serious comment here.
