A stunning British success. I only hope it's not "given away".
Along with the new battery technology (again British), we really do have a magnificent start to the next chapter in the "Story of Britain".

Yes its wonderful. Especially as its been developed with the European Space Agency. www.reactionengines.co.uk/news/reaction-engines-secures-funding-to-enable-development-of-sabre-demonstrator-engineCollaboration is the key to success in a lot of these programs you see. "The agreements now in place between Reaction Engines, ESA and the UK Space Agency, together with the working partnership with BAE Systems, set the framework for Reaction Engines to deliver the world’s first SABRE ground demonstrator engine by the end of the decade. Mark Thomas, Chief Executive Officer of Reaction Engines Ltd., commented: “We’ve had valuable support from ESA and UKSA to date, and today’s agreement is a further vote of confidence not only in the revolutionary potential of this technology, but our ability to deliver on it. We are now entering an exciting phase where we can accelerate the pace of development to get SABRE up and running.” Franco Ongaro, Director of Technical and Quality Management, ESA said: "Reaction Engines and ESA have been working together since 2008 to make the SABRE concept a reality. "I Think we will retain access to the ESA but we stand to lose access to a lot of other scientific and research agencies. You also have to wonder where a lot of the funding will come from post Armageddon Brexit.

But the EU has no money Baz, we give them billions and get back millions then have to tell the world this was done with EU funding. We just cut out the middle man, the EU, and we can fund our own research.

So co-operationnWILL continue - more Project Fear nonsense. Wondering where a lot of the funding will come from, Baz? The £8billion we give the EU each year will go a long way to fund a lot of projects. We will retain access to ESA simply because of our funding and our expertise. Why do you think these agencies would want to do without our input? Many agencies from round the world will be looking to cooperate with us, if we have the skills here. And we do.

your crackers if you still think there will be an £8bn Brexit bonus. We are losing way more than that already per year because of Brexit and we havent even left yet. Just a 1% loss of GDP equates to £20bn and Johnsons fake deal according to his governments own analysis will chop 5-6% of GDP. Do the maths! A no deal which is where we are heading really 9%. Its not just about the funding though. The UK would face legal restrictions on working with other EU member states on all sorts of things from clinical trials for vital cancer research carried out across several countries and the loss of Eurotom to a whole host of other research and development from engines to food.
Joe is right. Much of it is our money but we wont have any fecking money left. The Tories are already going to spaff it all papering over the cracks and will make Labours magic money tree seem like a walk in the park. It wont be sustainable and where will the funding come for great stuff like this then?
Manufacturing and great companies like this are fucked post Brexit. Even the Brexiteers own economists say that now. Look forward to Singapore on Thames tax haven UK with a bonfire of regulations and even shittier lives for the poor sods who sadly voted for it.

Blimey! You really have got Project Fear overload! Every "worst case scenario" rolled into one. Brexiteers acknowledge a hit on the UK economy of up to about five years, but ameliorated by all sorts of actions we will be taking - we won't just be sitting there, not reacting to problems. We'll be doing something about them. Which is why all the forecasting (done by Remainers) is terminally gloomy - it suits their purpose. And it's mostly bollocks - complete bollocks.

No, we wont, Those in charge will do what they have done for the past three and a half years. Lie, bitch, try and paper of the cracks and spiral our debt out of control and put party before people. If you think there is some super plan created by mythical geniuses that us plebs dont know about that will see Britain rise from the ashes and take its place as the number 1 country in the world that you probably are one of those that believe in Unicorns. Look at them! Look at our current government, then look at the opposition. This is as good as it gets. We are to put it mildly, fucked.

The people you are talking about are Remainers, including that lying, treacherous thing Theresa May, one of your lot. Between them they have totally buggered a clean Brexit, ruined any chance of a decent deal, cost us £billions and made our Parliament and democratic system the laughing stock. And you accuse Brexit of being the problem? Nope matey, it was the lying, cheating Remainers who have totally screwed the whole thing, and, just like you, are trying to place blame on Brexit itself. YOU lot have got exactly what YOU have wanted... a shitfest. YOU lot are to blame for deliberately ruining the course this country COULD have taken. YOU lot have cost this country dear...

An interesting take on things Boggers. Its all our fault because we didnt just fuck off and not have anything to say for three years or ever again which I imagine would have been some peoples preference. Brexit was the problem from day one as there was never a clear majority for it either with the public or parliament. You say you wanted a clean Brexit then say we ruined the chance of a decent deal. Well which did you want? I actually partly agree that a clean Brexit should have been what was on offer. A total break, off we fuck! Bye bye EU we are off! That isnt what was sold though was it? No. What was sold was a cake and eat it Brexit. Having all the benefits but still being able to leave Brexit. Thats why we are fucked because that was never ever going to be possible and now that is apparent, Brexiteers are being held to account which is why we are going nowhere. There is no getting round it. Had they campaigned for your so called clean Brexit from day one none of us would have been able to argue the toss for three years that people didnt know what they were voting for but then of course had they done that and been honest about the goals they would have lost and everything would be normal. None of this shit would be happening now.

It's just that wasn't what you lot wanted... soooo... "...there wasn't a clear majority blah blah..." Unbelievable that you actually believe this guff you're coming out with.

What was the margin? about 3%. Could have gone the other way the week after or before. The country is and still is split. Most countries would have asked for a super majority for such a referendum or at best a confirmatory vote once the negotiations were completed. Do you know who said that? Jacob Rees Fucktard thats who. Anyway. Thats why we are in a mess now. No majority in favour. Remainers just want to remain. Brexiteers dont know what they want. I think they want the best deal in history with all the benefits we have now but we cant have that. No wonder they are angry. No good blaming remainers for that. We told you thats what would happen.

Remainers never said they'd Bugger every thing up at every chance they got cos they didn't win.
Oh yeah we'll have a referendum and honour the result unless we lose then we'll be all mardy and throw our rattles out and moan like feck about every thing.
Only one lot have buggered this up and that's the traitorous remained cocks.
They lost end of . Stop bloody bleating and Do the decent thing and help to get us out of Europe and back as a totally free nation.
