I have asked this on another forum without any luck so will try to see if you reprobates can solve my problem. A motorhoming chap in the village kindly gave me a Waeco rear view camera and screen taken off his recently sold motorhome. Unfortunately he doesn't have the extension cable to connect one to the other. I've been in touch with several dealers/suppliers to try and purchase the said cable without any luck. Apparently Waeco have been taken over by Dometic according to one dealer. I'm looking for about 8 metres of cable but unlike others it needs to have a 6 pin male socket on one end and a 6 pin female socket on the other end. According to one supplier the original product Code is -9600000207. The Dometic suppliers can't place that part number on their computer and said they would contact Dometic to see if they can help. So far I've heard nowt. Anyone know where I may get get the cable from?

These guys any good? Ive not used them but I do know they make cables. There are a few firms that stock a wide variety but will make them up for you. At a price of course. www.leadsdirect.co.uk/

Try this company, I have used them and they are extremely helpful and will make up whatever you need. They made a one off adapter for the new rear view camera I bought from them due to the unique way the entry cable went through the back wall. I also had a similar problem with the original camera fitted to my van and they sorted that for me about 6 years ago.
They sell adapters/accessories so check them out and if there is nothing 'off the shelf' speak to them and they will sort you out.

Second that. I've used this guy for many years and he's really helpful and obliging.

If you're absolutely, well-and-truly stuffed with this, Bumf, and no-one else can help, you can buy 6 strand cable. Then solder the cable ends directly to the pins. If you ever need to remove it, just cut the cable near the pins, so leave a coil spare, behind the headlining.
Good luck getting the right thing though.

Well .... wots 'appening then?
We have taken time out from running our conglomerates and multinationals to help this member (and Joe took a day off from going through the bins behind Tesco). We need news of the progress.

Thank you for your concern. So far I haven't followed up on any of the leads that have been given. I thought I'd wait a week to see if the bloke from Dometic can source anything from the manufacturers. If I haven't heard anything in the next couple of days then I'll start looking into seeing what the suppliers that you fellows have given me the link to can do. Please don't fret, you will be the fourth to know of any outcome.

At £5.99 it's not going to break the bank.

And the result is------------------------------ the fecking thing doesn't fit. Slightly too small diameter wise. Bollocks. Back to the bloody searching. I'll give Bluecharge Direct a call next week.
