We park the van in a secure compound a couple of miles away from the house. Sometimes I notice that there is a bit of mouse poo in the van and have even had a sleeping bag ruined in the past. I now use one of those battery operated ultrasonic rodent repellents and also a peppermint spray to keep the buggers at bay. Went to the van this morning to drive over to the next village for its MOT and before I even got out of the compound it was obvious that the brakes weren't working. The pedal goes straight to the floor without anything happening at all. The brake light stayed on when I started the van up but I thought it was because it had been standing stationary over winter. Brian, the chap that does any work on the van is going to take a look at it when he has time. I'm wondering if those pesky mice have been making a meal of the hydraulic pipes.

Getting pissed on the brake fluid, more like! After all, it was Christmas...!!

Bugger. I have heard about this before. They are known for chewing through wires. Dunno what hydraulic pipes are made of though, presumably strong stuff?

Whadda you know about "hydraulic pipes " an' stuff, Mr Velcro Man?? Oh a lot!! They could be braided hoses for example made from stainless steel or even with a Teflon inner hose. Mousey might have trouble chewing through them. Ask me another!
