Thanks for asking about me - I'm just back from a glorious week in the Cotswolds but without internet access until I got home. Feeling all the better for rubbing shoulders with you lot again. STILL!! Haven't managed to get the locking nuts off! Bloody things, I could have done with a weekend away after having to spend 3 days in Londinium at a conference. He's resorting to drills and chisels now

I'm dreadfully sorry to hear that your prostate is giving you trouble, Geoff. I'll bet you just have to dash to the loo every time it's your round. Hmmm, I've met your kind before, methinks. Which reminds me of this question: When is the only time a Scotsman will open a door for another man? Answer: When it's a pub door (first through the door buys the drinks!) ;-)

I didnt want to tell you that our 18 year old Kontiki has never failed an MOT test ever so I wont. I thought that's because you drive around on false plates, don't insure it, or put it in for an MOT. Now don't go and tell me different. Puzzled of Tunbridge Wells.

he had to drill and grind his nuts off The brake pads looked ok until they were taken off - the one on the left disintegrated The van is on a slight slope on the drive so all the rain water runs off the front on to the passenger side wheel, we're going to put it up on a small ramp from now on so that the rain runs off the back (and down next doors drive )

Crikey - don't they have internet yet in the Cotswools? I think they do, but the parts I was visiting didn't have an Asda, Wetherspoons or a McD's with free wifi and there's no way a cheapskate like me's going to pay for it.

I was in a village near Cirencester few months back and there was absolutely zilch signal, not even 2G. My contract had recently renewed with E(verything) E(verywhere) and I had a mega row with them cos I thought they were in breach of the Trade Descriptions Act. Didn't get me anywhere but I felt better after!

Re zorsts, it's a wearing part like any other, parked up and short runs just make it worse, parking on grass is also a bad idea, when ours went I just had a bit of pipe welded in, I also had the cat taken off as it's not a requirement on some of the older vans, not sure when it came into the MOT test as an item to check, our 2001 Laika had it removed, but the 07 Relay seems to need it, but it goes better without, which I discovered due to some scroat.

Shiny new MOT received today hurrah! Glad to know that the John Bull Printing Outfit (are you old enough to remember them) you got at Christmas came in useful after all!
