I have a hot water feed coming from the boiler, the black pipe, that is blanked off and next to it is a water pipe that was connected to it.I am getting hot water in the toilet basin and shower and also the kitchen sink so does anyone have an idea where the disconnected pipe would go.

Joe, what van is it and what boiler do you have? Terry it is a Benimar, Truma 10ltr boiler. I did try threading a wire puller through the pipe to try and find the other end but had no luck. The van is 20 years old.

When you get hot water from the toilet is the fresh water tank hot? Just wondering if the non return valve has gone in the pump.

I put a new filter and bowl on the pump and not sure if it has a return valve but you could be on the right track Terry. Will have another look at the pump workings. Leave it at that at the moment Terry so I can get more info on what type of pump and its working. Thanks for your help.

My pump is outside the tank, from memory the impeller keeps spinning all the time it is switched on, but don't hold me to that until I check.

Not sure about pressurised systems as the Laika is the first van we've had that has one and it's early days with it. Pump only runs a few seconds after the taps are turned off just to re pressurise the system. Not sure how this relates to other vans though.

That sounds as though the pressure switch is knackered, Joe - if you have a pressurised system, that is, and not a tap-switched system? The hoses (certainly the black hose) look like a "previous owner bodge" - maybe they had fitted up an external "surfer's shower" or something like that? Blanking the hose off like that is certainly a bodge. More info needed on this. I'm your way next weekend - if I'm released from family duties, I'll pop up and see if I can shed any light on it.

Not had a chance to look at it today but the pipe the black one is attached to is the proper Truma one and it looks like the original water pipe was attached to it. Terry, I think you are correct with the pump only running on for a few seconds after the tap is turned of.

Right, had a look at the pump today, it is a posiflow pump and as Terry said it only runs when the taps are on. I don't think it is a pressure system and I can only see one pipe coming from the tank so also don't think it has a return system either. Barry I will be away next weekend till the 4th so will miss you but thanks for the offer.
