I have Maps.me on my iPhone4 and add the Wildcamping POI's on it. It has been fine until I loaded the latest update a few days ago. Now when I try to open it, the screen goes white for 20 or so seconds then the iPhone reverts back to its opening screen (the one which appears when you turn it on).
Anyone know what's up please?

Have you tried the obvious like rebooting the phone? Or clearing the cache - double click the home button quickly and all of the cached apps will show in a stack of screens, swipe each one upwards to clear it.
The latest update could have a bug, check the App Store reviews to see if others are having the same problem, if they are Maps.me will probably release a bug fix soon
Failing that you could delete the app and reinstall but I don't know if that will affect your saved POI's

Thanks Kay. It appears that I got the Maps.me update on June 9th, just a day or so after I downloaded the latest POI's. Thanks for the tips, I will check the website. As for deleting the Maps.me App, I don't know how to do it. Smart phone, dumb owner.

To delete an app hold your finger on the app icon until it starts to shake and then click the cross in the top left hand corner. You can download again from the App Store but I would check the latest reviews first in case the app needs a bug fix

Jim, I had the same issue on my iPad last year in Narbonne, ended up deleting it and reinstalling and downloading all POIs again. Their tech help did respond to my query, but I had already gone the through the above pain in the ass process, see their response below.

Thanks to both of you. I phoned my Son who told me how to delete the App. It is gone and a new App downloaded. I will attempt to put the POI's on at a later date. I had already downloaded the wildie POI's on to the Wifes' Hudl1 earlier.
I wanted them on the Hudl as the other week I took it into the van to see if it could be mounted for use as a Satnav. The case it is clipped into can be slipped behind the Sun visor and it will be right in front of me. It is just a backup to the Garmin Camper satnav.

A little funny addition to my iPhone tale. I decided to wait until today to re-install my POI's. Just before midnight last night, I noticed a PM from wak44 (remember him from the wildies?). His Wife will be going into Hospital to have a Pacemaker fitted and he had to cancel their visit to the Meet I am organising at Druridge Bay. I sent him a reply and it was timed at 11.58 pm. I then went and got a topup of brandy and sat back down at the laptop. When I clicked on the 'Forum' on the Wildies, I had suddenly become a third rate member .... ie, a 'Free Member' instead of a 'lifetime Full Member'. B ecause I was using Adblocker, I got the red screen that Knackers went ballistic about. I think it must be a computer glitch (at least I hope so)and will be sorted but there is a funny side to it. I have around 40 vans attending my Meet .... but I can no longer attend myself as I am sure you need to be a Full member to attend Meets. I have sent a PM to Admin to explain the situation and that he needs a new Organiser for this Meet. As yet, no reply.

My venereal venerable status has just been restored. They must have panicked when their computer glitch was pointed out to them.
