Barry posted on MHF today and in that post he asked for suggestions, thus my starting this thread.
I think we should all bear in mind that the forum is being hosted elsewhere and that Barry may not be able to accommodate any/all of the suggestions that he deems suitable for inclusion.
It also may be that any suggestions made now be just stored for action at a later date as anyone of them may be modified/improved or rendered obsolete by later suggestions. Best to let Barry decide on timing of implementation.
To kick off I have a couple of suggestions
1 The buttons to change pages in a thread 'previous 1234...next' are currently only at the top of the page, so a repeat set at the bottom would avoid scrolling up.
2 At present the time of posting is only displayed as '1 Hour ago etc' I note that on the Members page that this is the same for today's posts, but that previous days' posts are timed to the minute. Could we please have that per minute timing for all pages/days?

I heard or miss-heard that Barrys Motorhome was not well. May I add that the infection seems to have spread to his computer or his fingers when he typed the 'Hello' letter today!

Geoff.
You should now find that the prev/next option follows you down the thread at the top left of the page. This does of course mean you will have to move your finger across the mouse pad all of six inches. If this is no good can I suggest a touch screen? Then you can just lean forward and bash it with your head / nose.

I have now added a SHOUT BOX at the bottom of the screen. Bit like a chat thingy. Just type anything and press enter

Barry if you can't be arsed ask 747 for help (shit cannot find the emoticons - fill them in according to your own tast)
On times, if you go to Members page under the heading oFirst Registered and Last On-Line all before today show as date and exact time, instead of '35 hours ago'. Is it possible to do that for posts?

I have added a dislike button as well as the like button. Geoff Ive decided to leave the timestamp as it is for now. If you hover over the time IE 4 hours ago it shows the exact date and time.

Is that Nicholarse fella gonna bleat on all the time? Does he not realise that you are not a proper Admin? Does he not realise that this is not a proper forum? If he starts getting serious, give him the heave ho ...... or worse, enrol him on Fun.

Yeah it does it just works different likeAttachment DeletedFor example. IF you look at the bottom of the post screen it says bbcode or preview. You design the post in bbcode, enter formatting, insert images etc as I have above and it looks all funny like and full of fancy computer code. Click on Preview and it should show you what its really like, click back to bbcode and its all funny again. Click Create post when your happy. let me know if im talking rubbish and ill go and ask the man.

He has stacks of Porn, Im sure he would forward some on to you to post on here. I appointed him "Fruitcakes Porn Admin" but as far as I know he is still feeding in old copies of Mayfair and Penthouse into his ancient scanner to upload. I dont think he has grasped the concept of the Internet yet.

Barry Thanks re date/time - maybe hovering is a standard trick on websites that I was not aware of. Anyway obviously what I was looking for was already there in a different way. Thanks also for the 'Dislike' button - I can use that on 747 right now Geoff
