Is there anyone else out there who has an interesting visual whenever they hear the cricket commentator say.... "...... won the toss" Or is it just me whose brain is some place in a deep dark sewer?

No, but then I never listen to cricket commentators when I could be doing something more entertaining like watching paint dry instead.

Sean l agree about paint drying but l have the radio or tv on for background noise and on the news/sport part the commentator/newsreader will make said comment with my dirty minds result.
Is that no, no one else thinks that but given the sewer my mind is l fit in well, and no one here is now going to hear those words without the same visual.

You appear not to have realised that watching cricket IS watching grass grow. Or, as the famous Zen koan has it: ' Sitting quietly, Doing nothing. Spring comes, And the grass grows by itself.' Now who would have thought that cricket had been invented by the Chinese all those centuries ago?

Then surely you would have enjoyed David Coleman's regular commentary on British runners in the Olympics...'And [named athlete] is coming from behind!'

Sean l never listened and saw only one part race of the olympics. I slept through all opening and 99.9% of closing ceremony... started to watch fell asleep very quickly. I am pretty certain l must be unique given the way everyone raved l wasn't interested. I am sad to say l missed the comment so my rude radar was not activated l do however like his comment via yourself
