Just collected Pearl after having the bumper and side wings replaced with GRP versions by motorhomebumpers.com/ in Canvey Island - thanks Bogroll for the recommendation. I have to say I am well impressed with the job they've done - photos below. The quality of the work is excellent and the colour match is superb. In the end I got them to replace the undamaged nearside wing to maintain continuity of build and colour match with the damaged bumper and offside wing. Bearing in mind they had to make molds of the old units, and then build GRP versions and get them colour sprayed and fitted, the cost was pretty damn good - £1105 in total which includes VAT. To get this done with original Rollerteam units and then fitted would have cost well over £2k. The work took 4 weeks in total, but 1 was a holiday week for them, which was fine - I'd probably still be waiting for new Rollerteam parts from Italy! Would recommend them highly if anyone needs some work doing. Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

Cor, looks well smart. I'm taking book on how long before you trash'em. I bet that is why they made a mould...it will be a good earner for them. Looks like aa cracking job (no pun intended). I bought a rear bumper from Hymen to my old Tramp Swing and it was a lot more than that and I was going to have to fit it myself. It took so long to arrive I had sold the van. Bumper still sits in the garage as the bastud dealer wouldn't take it back. Good tip Boggers.

Really glad that worked out well for you, Fats. Nothing worse than recommending something that then turns out to be utter shite. I recommended Baz's vids to some girls in Annecy...

Canvey Island is a bit far to go from Devon, so I'll just have to be careful.

Canvey Island is a bit far to go from Devon, so I'll just have to be careful. yeh - it's location is probably the biggest drawback for many, but for those within a 100 miles or so it's worth looking at. owner gave me a lift to/from the station at Benfleet which connects straight into London for anyone using a train when leaving/collecting the vehicle. and costs savings over a dealer repair will easily pay for a train ticket.

London is a collection of villages. You just have to pick the right village. Barnes suited me well for 3 decades - river, pond, green, common etc. Some good pubs and restaurants. I stayed in the 'village' for social life - only rarely ventured out for theatre and concerts. Never had to travel long for my 3 jobs I had at Heathrow and then Wandsworh, Vauxhall and Kingston. Even working in the City I could get there by cycle, car or train in 30-35 mins. Suits me even better now tenants want to pay good money to live in the village Geoff
