CLICK FOR LINKA new study is backing up long held suspicions that Apple slows down older models of its iPhones to encourage users to buy a new release. The study analyzed worldwide searches for "iPhone Slow" and found that the search term spiked significantly around the time of new iPhone launch. It then compared those results with similar searches for the term "Samsung Galaxy Slow," and discovered the term was unaffected by new releases from Samsung.

Nothing would surprise me but I can't see how they could do it unless they had a hook into your phone. I've only ever had iPhones for years after he first one came out and I dumped Nokia. I'm always a few generations behind the latest as I blag em for free off a client who is an apple drooler. Mines still as quick as always and never misses a beat. It's also the only phone I cannot break. I used to go through two to three Nokias a year (yes really) and a fair few ended up at the bottom of lake Windermere or ullswater/. I was with Orange then though and my mobile bill was £100+ per month so they would couirer a new one (no charge) within 24 hours to wherever I was.
