Even if viable, vapourising petrol in the ratio of 1:14-5, which is needed for combustion in an engine is highly dangerous outside the confines of a secure vessel such as a cylinder block. Any heat source from the engine block or elsewhere could ignite that vapourised fuel.
He did not explain how he achieved the fine balance of the 1:14-5 vapourisation ratio nor control it.
He showed the fuel pump fuse out, but maybe it was replaced before start-up. As for stopping the engine by putting his hand over the tubes - as they were the only inlet to the air supply through the air filter, then of course the engine would stop, even if running on conventional fuel via the carb.

Not having a mechanical bent I did think if it was a viable idea some smart arse would have developed a working system
