About time the manufactures started experimenting with big solar areas. Look forward to seeing this trialed.

I quite like it. Trouble is reading the article fully loaded up in camper spec it wont do much over 100 miles but will it not charge on the move? For me as I tend to do mainly long summer trips it would be ideal as I never go very far from one place to the next apart from the first few days. 320 miles to Dover would be an issue as would the day after to get somewhere in Europe but after that, 40 miles is about as much as I like to do and often the van sits for days while we take off on the bike.
I wonder how the payload would compare to a normal van. Which is heavier? All those panels, batteries and electric motors or a big thumping diesel engine?

If you start the NC500 in October, it will be April before you finish it.

It's just a spoof, you knoblets.
Look at the way the panels have been cut to fit round corners, you can't do that with solar cells. And then there is the panel under the luton, fat lot of use that would be. Doh.

The evidence is all there, just surprised they have haven't mentioned the never need emptying Thetford...

Tel, I'm an expert on solar, but I don't know much about fairy dust thrusters, I have to admit. The Thetford cassette just has a big hole in the bottom (a bit like you). Twat.
