Voyage North (1970) ~ 20 mins
"Impressionistic account of life on the submarine HMS Artemis, told partly through the eyes of Lt. Ellison, a new submarine officer (fifth hand). Includes footage of training at HMS Dolphin, passage aboard HMS Artemis (Amphion class submarine), hydrographic survey on edge of the ice field, and a run ashore in Copenhagen."

I'm just reading one of a series of novels by an author called Dewey Lambdin, Joe, called 'The King's Coat'. Fiction, yes, but extremely accurate in detail of naval matters of the late 1700's to early 1800's.
In fact one of the best period naval novels I've read in ages. 99p from Amazon on my Kindle.
Bought the whole series, (5 more at £1.99p) when I was just a few pages into this one.
Would heartily recommend them.
(Don't normally spend more than 99p on my Kindle books, loads cheaper than carting a haversack full of books back and forth to the library).
