I think its a long time since they were called that, in fact there are probably a lot of people who don't know its a duvet.Very funny all the same Joe Aah but all us old farts on here will know the old name for them Mildew.

Thank the Lord we won't be offered Continental breakfast - coffee and bread rolls with butter and jam.
Instead we'll get a pile of eggs, many processed and fatty foods and called a 'Full English' - proper food for the discriminating British palate
None of this wimpy European rubbish - tell them to stick their baguettes where the sun don't shine.
And as for Continental Tyres .........

CONTINENTAL quilt?
We now call them by the posh (Port Out Starboard Home - allegedly) name DUVET.
Which is a FRENCH word for heaven's sake!
And just to show off - it means "down", as in fevvers.

Does the EU have its own words now? Yes, and duvet is not one of them that's why we use it
