That must have been the last year they made that shape. back in 2008 we almost bought one of them like that one, a 93 model but found one the new shape and 3 years newer for just a bit more money. I think I paid £16250 for mine back then. No idea what its worth now, seen some silly prices online though. Its kind of irrelevant as the cost of running the fucking thing probably makes the original purchase price pail into insignificance! They were a very popular van though. Ive never met anyone who had a 640 Kontiki who had a bad word to say about it although Ive cursed mine plenty of times.

And the "Leaky Tiki" nickname came from... where?

That model in the picture I believe. Mine had some damp and I had to have the kitchen ripped out and redone about 7 years ago but it wasnt a fortune. About £1400 I think but its been dry ever since. I think there was a problem with the 2005ish models on the floor but this is not unique to Swift. I think some of the new vans like a Bailey I looked at use one piece construction and summat Called Alutech so there is no timber in them to get rid of damp problems but I dont reckon they are 100% safe.

There was a very good example of an early one parked near here (outside the GP Practice). A Talbot with a private reg. It was far cleaner looking than mine.
