As heading to Spain decided to fit a trailer light board to the bike rack as my MH tail lights are partly obstructed by the bikes.
Got a Ring RCT480 Canbus suitable, from the local motor factors, wired it up to enable testing, no bloody output to light board, unit faulty!
Got a replacement and tested again, output to all but the RHS indicator, another faulty unit.
Thinking now that the shop had a faulty batch, ordered another from Amazon, came this morning and only ordered 3pm yesterday, fitted and thank god it WORKS, joints solder and sealed !
Bloody electronics what a waste of time !!!

Too much cheap shit around now, Piers, and outwardly it all looks the same as decent stuff. Makes purchasing anything difficult these days.

Good job that you spotted it as faulty, you might have spent ages looking for a different fault. I hate that kind of shit.

Know what you're saying Tugs, but the Ring RCT480 is one of the more expensive on the market and I have used one before. Just pissed that the QC has failed miserably, but just happy it's sorted now.

Good job that you spotted it as faulty, you might have spent ages looking for a different fault. I hate that king of shit. Did waste a bit of time testing back from the trailer board, the 12n plug and socket, as not really expecting that the new unit was the problem. Trusty multi meter to the rescue.
