It's a good feeling when you get a Pass.
Mine passed just over a week ago. I am getting texts from the Dealer now about it being due for its service. I will have to check the 3 year warranty I got with it to see if it is a condition to keep the warranty alive ....... probably is as they are all a bunch of Shylocks.

For all the stick my van comes in for in the 7 years we have had it its passed without anything ever needing doing every year. Mind you it probably costs me fecking thousands inbetween tests.

Don't think I'll bother with an MOT ever again.
Reason?
Some scroat keeps parking old bangers in our road blocking driveways and leaving them there for weeks. The Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator (NWC) checks up and finds that none of them have MOTs or RFL, so gets onto Council to have them removed. Council say it is a Police matter. Police say it is a DVLC matter. DVLC say it is a Police matter. So he gets back onto the Police. Their response: We can only do something about it if we catch someone driving the vehicles, not when they're just parked. So the guys watches and eventually sees someone get into one of these vehicles and drive away. He phoned the Police. They're response: We can't send a car round because we don't know where the vehicle currently is. So, the NWC has sent us all a round-robin advising us not to bother with RFL or MOTs - which also means we don't need Insurance (as it will be void) thus saving ourselves £100s per annum as no-one in authority seems to care whether we have it or not.

That's what you get for living in a posh area of Tunbridge Wells, none of that here on my rough council estate.

Just because I sleep in the doorways of posh shops doesn't mean that I live in a posh area of T Wells.
