The PCB will be simple electronics and the sum of the individual parts is probably not much more than £5. Find a good repair facility or learn how to recognise and test the bits on the board, then buy a soldering iron.

I'll just send it up to you then shall I eh I would have a go if I had a cue what to do, but electronics is a field on it's own, my expertice runs to checking voltages, and continuity, and come to a shuddering halt.
