Spoken like a true Caravan Club member, Pusser. All these free-loading wildie types simply lower the tone, don't you think. Well done for brining it to our attention; your medal is in the post.

Spain sounds a good place to be right now! So what are you doing in Flamborough? Get lost again, did you? Christ knows what I am doing here. Its blowing a gale and chucking down. The van is parked so the wind is howling throught the fridge vents. Wind speed set to peak at 63 MPH in about an hour on Flamborough head. Lara Croft has gone out hiking!! She just called me to say what a great time she is having. A true Fruitcake of the first order my wife! Mind you ill probably do my bit and go out on the scooter later to the chippy. There is an art from to riding a lightweight scooter in a hurricane. It is dooable. You just have to have faith and drop it 45 degrees and kind of sail along. I reckon its 2:1 one of us will be in hospital by Christmas day.

Hi Barry, When it's blowing a gale the idea to stop the van blowing over is to get the centre of gravity as low down as you can. This involves emptying the contents of every cupboard onto the van floor, then lying down yourself on the floor horizontally. Oh, and by the way, get the wife to shin under the van and cling on to the chassis members, with her pockets full of something heavy like slabs of butter. If she wears wellies you can pour something heavy down the sides like frozen peas. Oh, I forgot, open all the windows as wide as you can so the gale can blow straight through. Hope this helps! Sincerely! Flamborough this time of year in this weather. Tha's not reet in thi' 'ed cock! Good luck and a Merry Christmas. R :)GER
