I have found the authorised manufacturers agents in France stock pretty much everything. Chrysler in Caen had turbos for all models. VW Cherbourg has had all parts needed in stock. Ray. Well merc in montauban don’t have turbos for 519 sprinters . I would put money on Agen not having them either .

My experience of French garages and bike shops are they generally close Saturday and don't open until Tuesday and then of course they never have the parts. You would hope Mercedes would be on the ball though. Having said that I had to have a drive belt for a Peugeot scooter sent from the uk as nobody in France could get one. The whole saga took 9 days. I love France but it's not geared up well as far as good and quick service is concerned. Hope you manage to get it sorted in time. Correct ! Closed from 12 Saturday til 8am Monday . I suppose we should be grateful they are open Monday . Poor darlings working Saturdays are normally firmly shut on Mondays . First we have to get them to look at it ( they are always full ) .

How long is it since you last went for a trip in the bus Sal? Proper trip last June . But he was up in Andorra 2 weeks ago ( chez Mercedes...having failed his ITV so had a full service etc ) The reason I asked is because we were told the MH doesn't like to be left unused for long periods. When we collected the Navajo in March 3 years ago, it hadn't been used for some months, when we tried the air conditioning it didn't work, the unit had to be renewed and this was because it had been standing for the winter months on the forecourt of the dealer. May or may not have any connection with your trouble.

Sorry you can't get away as planned, Sal. I don't think they like Mercs down your way... I was down there a few years ago in my CLK and a storm... yes, a mere storm... kerferked it - I had to get a Merc mechanic to come and sort it with his PlayStation, XBox or whatever the thing was!

Well Slovenia is cancelled as we will never get there in time . All garages close at 12pm Saturday and don’t open til Monday morning .....so we will be at Mercedes then . He ran diagnostics etc but as they closed in 10 mins could not do much more . And of course no turbo in stock ... Let’s see what happens Monday. If we are not ready to leave by Friday morning then we shan’t bother . I am not doing any more Saturdays . Paris is in revolution today and there are people ( not in cars !) all over the motorways .A bordello as we say in French Give me a clue, what will this achieve ?

Well assuming the place is full of blokes in overalls, take it in on your own with a couple of bottles of decent booze, play the desperate damsel in distress and give em the booze. It will be done by lunchtime. Women and booze thats all blokes are interested in.

Oh crap. Any idea as to the A10 and A63 being passible? Ray. You need to check real time Ray. It changes constantly. But I would suggest not to try to travel any distance at weekends . i was looking at the Vinci real time map...thats just for autoroutes that they own though.

They want to make Macron back off on the new fuel taxes. Tbf, it is rather crappy. He says its a green tax and that it needs to be done to wean people off fossil fuels......right. In reality its a cheap way of raising revenues. And there are no alternatives in rural France. No busses. Nothing. But now its turned into a general rant against Macron and his policies. It shows no sign if slowing. Maybe some shitty weather will put them off 🙂

To be fair, nobody can do protests like the French. They just dont give a shit. I think we should ship a few hundred thousand over here to protest against Brexit. Maybe bring a couple of Guillotines for Boris, Farage and Smuggy. Id pay good money to see that. Soz. Ill get me coat. * * Im not really sorry

When I see these demonstrations I often wonder where all the trouble makers come from, are they all French or are they coming from every direction and every country nearby because they are yobs and enjoy making trouble?

Like all these things , they have been taken over by extremists. I just had exact same conversation with himself. The yobs always come out en masse when they have an opportunity. anyway. The gilets jaunes have communicated that they are changing tactics. They will target refineries, government institutions etc rather than annoying the general public who support and are part of the movement. lets see.

When I worked London it wasn't unusual to see the same people on different marches for totally unrelated matters.
