The weather has been horrid . Rained all day yesterday and this morning . It’s now half rain half snow . Yuk. When we follow Biathlon events we usually stay on a campsite as it’s convenient etc ( our norm is aires / wild ) Himself decided we would wing in this year . Found an OK spot . Flat . Good for woofers and a 10 min walk to the arena . We were moved on by the police at 7 am yesterday morning ..... The special camping car spot we were directed to is 2km further up the mountain and tiny . We just biffed in and got the last place ... annecy Christmas market

7 am! We're you awake, it's still dark like the middle of the night.
Bet you felt like telling them to------go away you silly policemen.

Annecy is one of only two places in France we have been asked to move on when wilding. Weather looks ok on the photos Sal. From memory if you want to be near the town there really is next to nothing and the Aire is shite. They sometimes open up temporary ones in the busiest periods though. Bastile day there are vans everywhere. We normally stay on the air down at Lathule at the bottom end of the lake which is great but will be soggy this time of year or the one at the Ostrich farm to the west of Annecy town but both are about 8 miles or so from the town.

The police were perfectly polite . We had kind of cheated and knew it . There are 20,000 people here for this event . And the weather sucks . Here we are right now 🙄
