I've just booked a few nights on a nearby Club site to give the Motorhome a run, it's hardly been off the drive since mid October last year, and a couple of weeks in France in March.
As long as we don't keel over with Covid-19 or any other ailment we intend getting out considerably more this year than last.
Any sensible suggestions to find a bit of warmth in France in March without going too far south from Calais ?
Dordogne or Loire perhaps ?

March? Mmmm. Bit early. We went down to the Dordogne in April once and it was quite nice but a couple of mornings we had ice on the puddles around the van but we got into low 20s by early afternoon. March though, you could get snow or could get pleasant days. Sal might have a better idea. Just stay as low as possible so avoid the eastern Dordogne where it rises up onto the Massif Central. Loire is pretty flat and low but the further south you go the better as long as you avoid elevation.

Nice Keith ... Enjoy it ... Weather matters not really ... We funny enough booked a few last night ... Scotlandshire which we havent been back to for about 10 years , Lakes , Devon ... No Jonny Foriegn trip for us this year unless we actually buy a french property which is still a very real option ... If you see anything while out in funny Frenchy type world give us a shout , budget around $5000 to $5200 with land if poss

You should go to Muckle Flugga if your doing Scotland. There is a free motorhome stopover there. Ive been there, its great! Google it.

The one below is a property we considered a few years ago in France but the en-suite was a bit cramped for space and the garden a tad overgrown.

We were in the Dordogne in April three years ago - freezing at night but mid twenty by day.
Here's one I did earlier - look at that blue sky ......

To be fair we didn't really want a new build like that one ... Sumat with character , a south facing garden obviously , a bog that faces east , nothing too big but must have 5 bedrooms and no Frenchy neighbours ... Its just with all this Brexit nonsense we dont wanna get caught when it all goes tits up here ... Keep your eye out for us , might even consider Wales seen as they aren't in Europe

Its definitely Muckle Flugga On the way you will pass the Millennium bus shelter just before you get there. www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC1TK5D_unst-bus-shelterWhen I was there it had chairs off an aircraft and there was a half full bottle of Scotch to drink. The latter is gone now of course unless its been replaced.

South west France has been hotter than hot. We just broke the February records...28.5 degrees. Nuts. Here in Andorra we have been warmer than Barcelona for weeks now ( although we still have good snow at altitude) My advice ? Come south . Be prepared to move a little if necessary , but the north south divide is strong ...head south west 🙂
