The way I feel at the moment I wish that wasn't a joke.

The light bulb needs replacing in the bathroom, but I am not going to do anything silly.I had a message on Thursday evening from Erick on WhatsApp, "I am calling you in 30 minutes" I have just sent him a message back "long 30 minutes" He as reliable as a chocolate teapot and he is supposed to be a friend. You mean like having a shower in a bathroom with no light?
You see I am still following but feel there is not much else I can contribute to relieve what Hans and you are going through. I wish I could.

When I came home from walking Motley Erick and his wife Marion were here, I was very pleased to see them and forgot I was angry with him. Today I have felt very down, Erick gave me a talking to and a push a few steps up the ladder. Tomorrow afternoon he is taking me to see Hans. Marion put a new bulb in for me while Erick played with Motley, they stayed for over an hour.

Jan just invest in one of these and you don't have to worry about ever having to change any bulbs. Printed with permission from Bazza Bingo's book 'Life Hacks for Dummies'.

Anyway as I can’t edit I’ll have to start a new post. I will tell you the good bit first, every time I asked him to kiss me he did😁. They have not given him any sleeping drug since yesterday so once again he is waking up, but as it is still in his blood he is rather strange. I think like an addict coming off drugs he is hallucinating, his eyes are focusing on me, he tries to speak his lips are moving, nothing will come out because of the tracheotomy pipe, but I think if I could understand it would be gibberish because it’s just non stop. The word `home´ though is quite plain to lip read. They tried again to leave off the dialysis Machine but had to put him on again after an hour because the kidneys were not fully working. I was once again assured the dialysis will not be a permanent thing. Everything else is working satisfactorily. Although Erick annoys me because he is so unreliable, he also gave me back some strength by what he said to me coming home.

I have only just seen your post Roger , sorry, been watching Downton Abbey on Amazon Prime. Today he's 2 steps up the ladder the lady doctor said, but tomorrow who knows he could take one step down, it is all so unknown. Although he was not really there his eyes tried to focus on my face, again when I asked him to kiss me his lips closed in a kiss, I did it several times to make sure it was really so. I also have two lots of papers to sign. Firstly though he was not on the dialysis today, but will be tomorrow, his kidneys have not completely recovered and although the signs are they will Wolfgang cannot saying it's definite. It is still on the cards he will be transferred to another hospital when the time comes for him to be weaned from the oxygen so before that he will have to have 2 pieces of equipment planted in his body, one a special thing inserted just below his shoulder for the dialysis to be plugged into with a one-way valve. The other is a catheter in his belly to feed him, at the moment it goes up his nose so the belly feeder will be much better for him. I brought the papers home so that I can find out more about it before signing them. I don't think anyone except someone who has experienced it, will understand what it's like to have to decide what is right or not to do with someone else's body and life. Can't tell you anymore now, I keep dropping off, well it is nearly 1am.

Well done, Mildew. You're coping well - Hans will be proud of you when he comes round properly and sees what you've been through. Not long now, I'm sure. Hans is gradually overcoming the infections.

Ditto to above, you've been amazing Milly. I think everyone has including Hans. He's clearly fighting hard. It will come right.

Just a quick. His kidneys are coping, no dialysis today, a little improvement in him and I suddenly thought this morning, in the one and a half hour I spent with him yesterday he didn't cough, Wolfgang says its because they have beaten the pneumonia. :grin2:
When I did my High Noon phone call today he answered the phone with "Hallo my dear" isn't that lovely. :grin2:

Fantastic news! He's gone from comatose to chatting with you on the 'phone in just a few days - amazing! It sounds as though the medical team have done an incredible job, identifying the various areas of the infection. And Hans is clearly a fighter... there will be no stopping him now, when he gets out. Watch yerself, Mildew...! Great stuff. Really happy for you. X
