we will try again this morning. Mercedes ran all the tests again and cannot find anything wrong. So. It may have cleared or it may come back. Who knows. we will still be able to roll if the turbo is beggared so not worried. We wont be going to Slovenia for very long as by the time we get there the competition will have finished......so any issues will then be tackled in German. And the gilets jaunes have largely buggered off too 🙂

And the diesel in France will be cheaper too, I guess, now Macron's backed down?? Result! We're off to Annecy in Feb so we have a vicarious interest in fuel prices...

We discussed this last night with French friends . We all agree if you drive a gas guzzler or a camping car you really cannot moan about paying a green tax on fuel . Very different if you earn a minimum wage and live in the sticks . By the end of aperos we had agreed they should at least double the price of fuel ...it will keep the riff raff off the roads 😊

Bon Voyage as they say in Norfolk.

If you get any info about blockages around Bordeaux I would be much obliged. Everyone I ask just shrugs. Ray.

It has served us well . We are passed Toulouse and havnt seen a gilet jaune yet ( except for the radars that have been dressed up 🙂)

Sarah
I somehow missed all your shit news. I did not get past 'Off Topic' at the w/e.
Anyway I am glad you are off again, although sorry trip is a bit curtailed.
We have just picked up Artur after having a bit of plastic welding done to the front skirt and had some nice polishing done. Our garage here is excellent for general work and they seem to know good specialists for the bits they cannot do, like plastic welding. They are only about 1km away and not expensive.
I hope your booze store came back from Mercedes intact.

Why are you stuck on off topic Geoff?
Sal. Fingers crossed, don't get me in tears for you again.
Geoff. When I open Fruitcakes I see all the posts under every category.

Well . The EML us flashing again and now in limp mode . Heading for Mercedes at Beziers. The chances of them having a turbo in stock is remote . Now in Germany maybe ...,

Money can't buy you good health, now it sounds as if it can't buy you spare motor parts either.

They are running diagnostics ...again . As the fella just told me , they dont change turbos very often and hence don’t stock them . Likely something else . Never mind . We will get there . Eventually !

This is what always trips me up in France. You would assume something not in stock could be there on a van the next day. No reason why not but getting stuff on next day delivery seems to be an issue in my experience. Good luck.

No reason why not but getting stuff on next day delivery seems to be an issue in my experience. Good luck. Our village mechanic gets things next day, same day if he orders early enough in the morning. There are of course a few special things he won't get as quickly, I ´spect wot Sal wonts for instance would take more time. Posh potty has to pay a bigger price and wait longer than us common fiats do I s´pose.

Well he ordered it . We need to be there for 8.30 at opening g so they can “attacker “ . They have to lower the whole engine to get to it etc etc We are now on an aire . Quiet . The good news was that the autoroute was free thanks to the gilets jaunes . Now I need to find a nice foggy friendly hotel for tomorrow night . Mercedes will Lend us a little van for us and the woofers😊 You don’t want to know what it’s gonna cost ....
